I would like to flash the BIOS on my Asus A7M266 M/B to the latest issue, which Asus says will allow the M/B to support the Athlon 2100XP CPU. However, I have heard of other manufacturers releasing BIOS upgrades to support faster CPUs, then finding that the M/B's voltage regulator won't support the new CPU.
Has anybody out there had any experience with upgrading the BIOS on this M/B to support the 2100XP? I'd like to know it will work before I chance flashing the BIOS and invest in the new CPU.
