I agree that to answer most of these questions you need system information.

Do you know of any sites that have a share/freeware program that detects system hardware and can send a report to your screen. Then posters can just copy and paste into their posts.

Well the best program to check system specs is SiSoft Sandra. I guess you could download that and do a screen capture and post it, but that seems a little extensive.

I would use SiSoft Sandra to get a system spec and then just pwrite them down oand post them with the question. That is why I put my system specs in my Signature. That way any time I have a question, any ifo needed is right there, and you can turn on anf off the sig.
