i bought a Diamond Stealth III 32 mg pci video card the other day. i put it in my computer and it won't recognize it... my guess is, is that since my computer has an agp slot, the computer wants to automatically look for a video card there.... is there anyway to change this default?

Have you checked the device manager to see if it recognized there? Or do you mean it won't recognize because when you plug in your monitor to the card your screen remains blank? Please clarify. Thanks.
PS. If you have an AGP slot, you should really stick with AGP. I'll show you why. PCI has a bus speed of 33mhz and is 32-bit wide. So the transfer amount is 132mbps. That sounds good doesn't it. Well if you have other PCI devices, they will also use some of that 132mbps since they are also on the PCI bus.
On the other hand AGP has a 66 mhz bus speed. AGP 1x which is the oldest AGP standard and is 32 bit and has a throughput of 264mbps. Also the AGP card wouldn't have to share any of that with any other device.
I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point.

If you have agp, you need to go into bios and change your video settings to pci instead of agp.
