View Full Version : What Socket A Motherboard Should I Get?????

I am buying a new socket A motherboad for my computer. Dont' know what to get so I thought I would get some suggestions.

Here is what I have:

56x CD-rom
256k PC2100 DDR
Athlon XP 1900 cpu
Soundblast Audigy Gamer Sound card
Geforce 4 TI 4600 Video card
80gb Ibm Deskstar Harddrive

I would look at the Soyo KT333 Dragon Ultra ($175) the ASUS A7V33R ($159) or a good cheap board is the Gigabyte GA-7VRXP ($119).

The Gigabyte has a Creative Sound Chip onboard and works very well. I play a lot of games and it sounds great. My Gigabyte board has the same sound chip.

ASUS A7V333 with RAID controller, PC2700, 333, sound included. I found one for $117.00
