Well need more specs on your system. What OS are you running? From what you said so far. 1. Update the MB Bios. 2. Make sure you partition the drive large drive support. Does the Bios set-up detect the drive? If not make sure jumpers and all cables are properly connected. Just a few ideas to try. Good Luck

First of all, did you format the drive first?

First of all did you format the hard drive? Second of all your BIOS probably doesn't support that large of a hard drive, but will support it if you make it into smaller partitions. Also when you format the hard drive, there will be a screen that you run into before you format the hard drive. It will ask you "Do you wish to enable large disk support (y/n) .......? ( ). Basically if you say no, your drive will be FAT16. If you say "y" it will be FAT32. FAT16 partitions only have a maxium partition size of 2.1 GB. That's too small! FAT32 has a maxium partition size of well...2 TB. Too bad for the BOIS!!!
Now I'm not sure if this would work, but a new hard drive controller might help out? Unless you can find a good BOIS update.
One little last thing, make sure the cable is plugged in well and in the right way. It's sometimes one of the most annoying things that someone can do including me and the easiest one to fix.
