Processor upgrade advice???

Hello , I would like to upgrade the processor in my PC.

At the moment I have an ASUS A7V motherboard, a 850Mhz AMD Thunderbird Athlon processor, and a GFORCE 2MX graphics card.

I plan to replace these with a DURON 1.3Ghz Processor and a GFORCE 4 MX440 64Mb DDR, graphics card.

(I have been told that I can only go as fast as a 1.4 athlon with my current motherboard.)

What i would like to know is will these components be compatible??

And after physically replacing the processor fan and heatsink, what steps should I take to get thing going again. :?:

check whats compatable on the manufactors websight. If an Athlon XP 1900 CPU is compatable, I will sell it to you for $75.
