How to format my pc???

hi..
can someone teach me how to format my pc? my hard disk is 8Gb &
separate with 2 partition, C & D,
can someone tell me what is FAT32? I think my hard disk is Fat 32,
I want format my pc & don't want have a partition in my hard drive,
I,m using a window98Se.
can some one help me....

First go to Control panel/Add+Remove Programs/Startup Disk tab. Create Startup disk.

Reboot computer with floppy inserted. Eventually you will get to an A prompt "A:\".
Type FDISK.

The first screen that comes up is a bunch of stuff basically saying do you want Fat32 or not. Say yes!!! Fat16 has a max partition size of 2.1GB which will leave you unhappy.
Next screen will show some options, 1-4. Choose 1 (Create DOS partition or Logical DOS Drive), but first choose 3 to delete Partition or Logical DOS Drive.
Next screen will show three more options. Choose 1 again (Create Primary DOS Partition).
Do you wish to use the maximum available size for a Primary DOS partition (y/n).................................? Say Y. Hit ESC to continue.
Get to the main screen and type 2 Set Active Partition. Type in 1 not C for the drive you want active. Exit FDISK
Reboot computer
Get to the A prompt and type Format C:/S. Say "Y" to proceed.

That should be it. I hope the instructions are clear enough. :lol:

You NEED to make sure your boot disk has cdrom support. If not, you won't be able to reinstall yout OS unless you boot via bios...nm.
